Tips for a neurologist for the absolute state of crisis in the family?

Three of my four children has a seizure disorder inherited from my husband. It begins with febrile seizures in young people. We can deal with the last 7 years or until age 18. It can be caused by other reasons we believe are exhausted (due to lack of sleep or exercise induced) and poor diet. At 3 years, my eldest daughter was found in the struggle against the seizure medications (Tegretol, Dylantin, Depakote, phenobarbital), the Barrow Neurological Center in Phoenix, AZ, but the drugs do not prevent crises, but the attacks caused. Its 1 min febrile convulsions became a long day 6 and up to 45 minutes. long. He lost his ability to walk and talk, but won in medicine again after weaning. For this reason, I do not want to medicate any of my children for fear of permanent brain damage. Over the age of 7 years, now has one for 16 and 17, appears to be due to an athletics track or skiing to exhaustion (or heat). At this age, your driving was interested. Suggestions on how to prevent this happening naturally?

The unique natural treatment that I have heard (more than seek to avoid triggers crisis) is the ketogenic diet. It is low in carbohydrates and lipids, may not be best for someone racetracks. It is also the most successful in young children. Even if this is not what you hear, I want to go see a doctor again. Your body changes a lot between 7 and 17. Crisis may have begun to return, this time may be different and react differently to medications. Also, you can try drugs, just to see what happens and then stops again. I could not get my license until I was 23 because my epilepsy. While driving is not a worry at times, I decided to live with the disadvantage that it is preferable losing consciousness while driving a vehicle weighing several tons to 65 mph.
